As a mother of
young children, I always thoroughly enjoy making my own children’s
parties fun and imaginative.
Parents like their children to be creative, and
I realised that there was a need
for a service that allowed children to express themselves in this way.
We all
want our children to be computer literate but with so many
electronic games available, I felt the need to provide an
alternative form of play
and I could provided it for
parents with busy life styles who would like something
different, original, easy and fun.
I have been
providing children’s party entertainment in our local area for over
2 years now with great success. Including; private parties in
customers gardens and homes, village halls, parties for children
with special needs, workshops at Sarah Ravens Cutting Garden
(Robertsbridge), stands at farmers markets and craft fairs and
County Council Family Fun days.

I have always been quite
artistic so coming up with designs was no problem.
However, it is
important for me to be able to use recycled materials as much as possible whilst still
providing a quality finish. I therefore use 90% recycled cardboard as the
base for my designs.
As for the fabrics
and papers, I have been very fortunate with local interior design shops
and curtain makers who have been more than happy to recycle their shop
off cuts and unused sample books, for which we are very grateful. The fabric and paper are then cut
into a variety of shapes including circles, stars, hearts, flowers, etc.
Horse Play offers a variety
of themes and can accommodate customer’s special requests.
I am always coming
up with new ideas and creating new designs, so keep an eye on this web site
from time to time...!
My aim is to make
it easy for parents, no matter how busy their life style is, to be able to
have quality time with their children being creative and having fun!
